Born on an Earth-like planet (New McDonald's, System F76) colonized largely by the United States, Dennis lived a normal childhood and adolescence until his big brother died in a space pirate attack. This deeply unsettled him since he always looked up to his brother and loved him very much. Things became bleak for the whole family: His father started drinking and life at home was never the same again. Dennis didn't grow bitter but instead swore to do his best to make sure that nothing similar would happen to anyone else. He traveled far away from his home planet to join the UICAF at the age of 19. Joining the army was easy. Dennis was never good at studying even though he liked to read but he had always been a talented athlete. He showed great promise at the recruits' physical exam. He could run faster and jump higher than most, his stamina and agility were among the top results. What the examiners found worrying was his tendency to quick mood swings but despite that he passed the tests with flying colors. In the army Dennis felt at home, he didn't question the higher-ups because he trusted them and their cause. He felt like he belonged, like he was doing something that really mattered. And despite finding a new family he still kept in touch with his parents who stayed back in New McDonald's. Another sign of trust toward the UICAF was that Dennis was among the human soldiers who agreed to have muscle implant surgery on his legs and arms, greatly improving his physical fitness and combat abilities. His assignments included ■■■■■, ■■■■■ and ■■■■■, under the license 34- ■■■■■. After five years in the UICAF troops he was involved in a violent conflict between Tuvan terrorists and other extremists in Tistava. Their platoon came under heavy fire and lost nearly half of their soldiers until Mara Sol joined the battlefield. Dennis was among the lucky ones who made it out alive thanks to the courage of the famous poster child but he didn't come out unharmed. Dennis was treated for head trauma and ■■■■■. He had to be in a barbiturate-induced coma for a week due to complicated neurosurgery. After being discharged from physiotherapy he began to have vivid nightmares, anger management issues and suffered severely from insomnia. The most worrying aspect was that he also suffered short term memory loss and sometimes could even lose whole days. He was let go from the UICAF almost immediately. The insomnia and memory loss made him irritable and sometimes downright aggressive. Still hurt from losing his job and place in the world, Dennis found a new residence at the Messier Station, where he began doing odd jobs as a bouncer and a bodyguard, and eventually started his own business as a private detective. He agrees to take on such cases where he knows harm will only come to those who deserve it so understandably his business isn't doing too well on the crime-ridden station. The lack of revenue has forced him to take on part-time jobs as a bodyguard.
